Hot Dog Eating Contest

Every summer, Gigglewaters hosts the kind of all-American spectacle that can only happen on Main Street: our annual July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest. It’s exactly what it sounds like- a rowdy, wildly entertaining showdown where contestants have five minutes to eat as many hot dogs as they can, cheered on by a packed house of friends, family, and curious onlookers. There’s a prize on the line, of course- past winners have walked away with Gigglebucks, Golden Hot Dog Trophies, even Championship Belts- but more importantly, every bite supports a good cause. Proceeds from the contest benefit The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, helping to fund vital mental health and trauma support services in our community.
